Community Health Center (CHC), a non -profit health provider based in Connecticut, has confirmed that computer pirates accessed the confidential data of more than one million patients.
In presentation With Maine Attorney General on Thursday, ChC said he detected suspicious activities on his network on January 2 and determined that a “qualified criminal hacker” had accessed his network to steal the health and personal information of more than one million patients. According to the presentation, the hacker violated the organization’s network on October 14, 2024.
CHC, which provides services that include health abuse and substances based on school to more than 100,000 Connecticut residents, said that compromised data may include patient addresses, telephone numbers, diagnoses, treatment details, treatment, test results, social security numbers and health insurance information.
The non -profit organization said that the hacker did not eliminate or encrypted any of its data and the incident has not affected their daily operations. No important cybercriminal group has assumed the responsibility of cyber attack yet.
