Alcon Entertainment, a production company behind “Blade Runner 2049,” is suing Tesla, Elon Musk and Warner Bros Digital for what they claim is intentional circumvention of their intellectual property rights. according to the hollywood reporter.
Musk had asked to use images from the film to promote Tesla’s latest futuristic prototypes at his presentation at the Warner studio. When Alcon did not agree to provide the rights through Warner, the lawsuit alleges that Tesla, under Musk’s direction, used those images as raw material to duplicate using an AI model. he then showed these fake images of Blade Runner while talking about the film itself, as you see above.
The lawsuit proposes unspecified damages and also enjoins Tesla from continuing to distribute the disputed promotional materials.
