After three long years, Xbox has finally updated its wireless gaming headset. This version features the inclusion of Dolby Atmos, a longer battery life, an improved microphone and the new Bluetooth 5.3. The new headphones are now available to order for $110 at the xbox either microsoft store.

The other big update to the new Xbox headset is a microphone that offers mute and voice isolation. The microphone remains a flexible boom, with the inclusion of an illuminated LED to indicate that it is on. The predecessor of this headset offered a battery life of 15 hours and this one extends that range to 20 hours. It also supports fast charging: a 30-minute charge provides approximately four hours of use. However, the recharge time is still substantial; It takes three hours for the headphones to go from dead to fully recharged.
In terms of aesthetics and design, it’s the same adjustable steel headband and soft leather and foam ear cups that graced the previous version. Like the 2021 release, it’s still only available in all-black. The headset has easily navigable control dials that can modify the game/chat balance on the fly. The left earcup offers a dedicated audio balance dial for gaming/chat, while the right earcup houses a volume dial. There is also a power/torque control and a mute button. To make additional settings, you can always head to the Xbox Accessories app. There you can adjust the equalizer settings, bass boost, auto mute, LED brightness, and microphone monitoring.
