This week, Apple unveiled several new products in a Monday morning livestream, including the AirPods 4 and the iPhone 16. The latest smartwatch in ApApple’sineup is among those announcements: the Apple Watch Series 10.

The new Apple Watch is offered with a variety of band and case options. You can choose the jet black case—the first polished aluminium finish for Apple Watch—with a black or inky sportsort band. The rose gold aluminium case can be ordered with either the light blush sport band or the plum sport band. A silver aluminium case is available when paired with the denim and blue sports bands.
Form factor and design
The Series 10 will feature the largest display on an Apple Watch in history — slightly larger than the Ultra 2 and up to 30 per cent more screen area than the Series 6. This equates to larger, easier-to-read font sizes and an additional line of text in apps like iMessage and Mail.
Apple’s first-ever wide-angle OLED display is beneath the front glass, which extends Apple’s down the sides of the watch. Watches are typically viewed from an angle, so you can glance at the time or see an incoming notification while typing on a keyboard or resting your hands in your lap. One of the new software features highlighted in the live stream is the addition of the Translate app. It uses machine learning for voice recognition and fast translation, so you can easily navigate conversations in different countries.
Additionally, several new metrics can be measured during sleep, many designed to help identify sleep apnea, a serious condition that goes undiagnosed. The detection algorithm is based on a dataset of clinical-grade sleep apnea tests and then informs the user if signs of sleep apnea are detected.
