Silicon Valley hitters take charge of Trump transition team: “a dozen of Musk’s allies”– BC

About a “dozen Musk allies” have put a brake on their daily routines to serve as unofficial advisers to the Trump transition effort. says the New York Times.

Among them, the outlet reports: Jared Birchall, head of Elon Musk’s family office, has interviewed some candidates for jobs at the State Department; Marc Andreessen has spoken with candidates for high-level positions at the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Department of Health and Human Services; Sequoia Capital’s Shaun Maguire is taking a hard look at picks for the intelligence community; Anduril co-founder Trae Stephens and Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar have spoken with Trump transition officials about their roles at the Pentagon; and businessmen Mark Pincus and David Marcus have participated in interviews with “potential Trump employees.”

According to the Times, even Musk’s mother, Maye, has been involved in the transition, telling a recent interviewer that she “likes to attend meetings” with her son.
